Hon. LeRoy Burke, III
Judge LeRoy Burke III has made a positive impact on the many lives of youth in the community, serving 27 years as a Chatham County juvenile court judge. Judge Burke began his career as a juvenile parole officer in Fulton County, later to be encouraged to become a lawyer for juveniles and soon after a recorder’s court judge. After 11 years, Burke made the move to juvenile court, spending 16 years of putting children on the right path. Judge Burke serves on the board of directors or Observance Day Association, Inc., and is involved with Council for Juvenile Court Judges, Chatham County Truancy Protocol Committee, Savannah Chapter NAACP, and more. When asked why Judge Burke is serving on the Park Place Board of Directors, he said “I want to see to it that young people in a displaced status have resources available.”
